Almighty God, thank You once again for this opportunity to gather and study Your Word after a short time apart. Thank you that we are in good enough health to be able to learn about your Word tonight, Lord. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.

Previous Highlights

  • Last time, we discussed the importance of considering what God’s plan is for our lives instead of just planning everything on our own.
  • We talked about the different ways we can determine what exactly His plan is for our lives. See How can I know what God’s plan is?

Application

Read James 5:1-6 and answer questions 1-5 on page 12 of the workbook.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, at times it does appear that the ungodly are prospering in all they do.. but we praise and thank You that You have promised that those who love You will never be put to shame. Thank You that You are faithful, trustworthy, gracious and of great goodness. Help me to hold fast to the truth of Your Word and to look for the any day appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.. Who will one day put all wrongs to right and the earth will be filled with the glory of God as the waters cover the sea. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.[1]
